After a rough couple of years of isolation and a hold put on many social gatherings, there’s never been a better year to celebrate Valentine’s Day. With everyone craving a sense of belonging and human companionship after far too many lockdowns and missed special occasions during COVID, there are so many fun ways to mark the annual day of love with an event.

From casual to spectacular, here are some of our favourite Valentine’s Day event ideas.

Love Letters

Valentine’s Day need not only be for loved-up couples. A lovely way to share the love amongst the special people in our lives is to write them a little letter of appreciation to let them know we care and are thinking of them. This pop-up Message From The Heart Booth for Sunshine Plaza, designed by our friends at Little and Large Events (we did the custom floral styling!), was a huge hit with shoppers.

Cooking Demonstrations

As the saying goes, the way to someone’s heart is often through their stomach! Hosting a cooking demonstration on the perfect meal to cook for two is sure to be a crowd pleaser, especially for those who left booking a restaurant to the last minute – or anyone wanting to give their Valentine’s Day date night a more intimate and personal touch. Or, provide a pop-up Sweet Treat Station to share the love around like this Crepe Station we provided for Westfield Coomera.

Captured Hearts

A picture is worth a thousand words! Valentine’s Day is far from being about giving and receiving the best presents. The secret to lasting love is making precious memories you can look back on for years to come. Even better than having fond moments to reflect on is capturing them – and your love – on camera. Our range of Backdrops are great for creating custom photo booths anyhwere you need them. We also love using our Timber Swing for a more intimate and fun photo op.

Flowers Are Forever

Sometimes you just can’t beat a classic such as flowers on Valentine’s Day. The trend for flower carts continues and we still can’t get enough of it. Roses may be the time-honoured favourite, but if you’re looking for a contemporary update then play with a colour combination of red and pink for a striking modern twist.
